On December 6, 1966, on the day of the 25th anniversary of the Moscow Battle, a monument was unveiled at Peremilovskaya Hill, near the western outskirts of the village. It is a bronze soldier rushing into the attack with a machine gun raised above his head. The thirteen-meter-high figure of a soldier stands on a fifteen-meter-high gray pedestal with bas-reliefs. The tails of the greatcoat thrown back, the arms spread out like the wings of a bird, create the impression of an unstoppable striving forward. In the upper front part of the pedestal you can see the inscription: "To the heroes of the Moscow Battle". The lower part of the bas-relief depicts representatives of the main branches of the armed forces. The bronze figure of the soldier was cast in Leningrad at a Monumental Sculpture Factory, the bas-reliefs were made in the city of Mytishchi (near Moscow), and the granite was imported from Ukraine. The figure arrived disassembled, it was mounted on the spot. The monument is visible from Dmitrov highway, on the western and eastern banks of the canal, from the bridge over it and from the railway. A new memorial sign has appeared on Peremilovskaya Hill to mark the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is a large red stone slab dedicated to the participants in the defense of the capital in the area of the towns of Dmitrov and Yakhroma. There is an inscription on the slab: "To the heroes of the Moscow Battle. Here, on Peremilovskaya Hill, the war has been turned back!" The main part of the plate is occupied by a text listing military units that are related to those events of the Great Patriotic War. The inscription for each army indicates its commander, chief of Staff and a member of the Military Council. For a long time, the monument was the only one on which the name of the commander of the 20th Army, Major General A.A.Vlasov, who participated in the battles near the town of Dmitrov, was carved. His name has now been removed from the plaque. The hill itself in this place is a long and high slope with a steep slope angle. For a comfortable hike from the town of Yakhroma, there are winding paths with small viewing platforms on the slope. From above, there is a beautiful view of the town of Yakhroma, located at the foot of the hill, and the surrounding area. There is a large playground at the bottom of the slope. On its northern side there is a large granite pedestal with a poem by the Soviet poet Robert Rozhdestvensky, written specifically at the request of the residents of the town of Yakhroma: To appreciate the importance of the milestone, you definitely need to visit here and see how, thanks to its steep slopes, the Peremilovskaya Hill looms over the town of Yakhroma. © 20242025 RV3DEP
